This handcarved bone necklace just made it's way into the shop, as part of the "Bohemian Spring" collection. Inspired by it's unique beauty, I did a bit of research and discovered the intricate hand carved pendant which features a phoenix and dragon are traditional Chinese design. The phoenix, long associated with the Empress is the mythical bird which symbolizes beauty, good luck and southern direction. The dragon, a lengendary reptilian monster is the national emblem of the Chinese Empire and considered a symbol of power, good fortune and eastern direction.
